Nashville, Tennessee

Planter & floral design, rooted in place.

Ginkgo Designs builds living arrangements — potted, cut, and installed — that grow into the rooms, porches, and events they're made for, not just decorate them for a week.

A studio built around what's already growing

Ginkgo Designs is a Nashville floral and planter design studio. The work starts with the container and the light in a room before it starts with the flowers — because an arrangement only holds up if the plant behind it can actually live where you've put it.

That means every project is part styling, part small-scale horticulture: choosing species that suit the space, building planters that read as furniture rather than afterthoughts, and returning to tend what's been installed so it keeps its shape through the seasons.

Projects range from single statement planters to full floral programs for events, with an eye trained on Nashville's own light, humidity, and interiors.

Services

Each engagement is scoped to the space — these are the starting points.

Planter design

Custom potted arrangements selected for a room's light and a client's care habits, built to last well beyond a single season.

Indoor & outdoor

Floral design

Cut-flower arrangements for the home, the office, or a single occasion — from a weekly standing order to a one-time centerpiece.

Weekly or one-time

Event florals

Ceremony, reception, and tablescape florals designed around a venue's own architecture rather than a generic package.

Weddings & events

Maintenance & care

Scheduled visits to water, prune, and refresh installed planters, so the design still looks intentional six months in.

Ongoing

How a project comes together

Three conversations - depending on scope.

First

Consultation

A walkthrough of the space — light, humidity, foot traffic, and the feeling you're after — either in person or over photos.

Second

Design & sourcing

A proposal of species, containers, and placement, sourced from local growers wherever the season allows.

Third

Install & tend

Delivery and installation, with an optional care schedule so the arrangement keeps its shape as it settles in.
